Music licensing body, OneMusic, have introduced live stream allowances until 30th September for their fitness and wellbeing customers.

OneMusic, was one of the first fitness industry suppliers to put a halt to all commercial activity to those customers hit by COVID-19 closures - Victorian licensing activity still remains on hold.

OneMusic Marketing Manager Licensing, Anne Blair advises “our music creator members have taken a huge hit to their bread-and-butter royalty income in the meantime, but it was the right thing to do to allow the music eco-system to recover. Hundreds of customers took the time to write to us and say thanks, which was really encouraging.

“Most fitness and wellbeing customers with straightforward accounts will be notified in writing of an automatic four month fee-relief being applied to their account. We have added some extra fee-relief in there because we understand that even when they were allowed to re-open, social distancing restricted their trade.

“We will contact a small group of customers with more complex music use/more complex business structures such as multiple locations -  to ensure we get the fee-relief exactly right for them.”

Blair adds “we really are hoping for a quick economic and health recovery from this pandemic and we trust this small action will help our valued music customers to keep operating - and enjoying our music - in your sector.”
