Sport Australia’s Kate Palmer announced as speaker for FILEX Women of Influence Forum

The organisers of the FILEX Convention used Friday’s International Women’s Day to advise that Sport Australia Chief Executive, Kate Palmer will address the Women of Influence Forum during the upcoming 2019 FILEX on Saturday 13th April.

Palmer will join Fernwood Female Fitness founder Di Williams; US-based human movement specialist and barefoot science leader Dr Emily Splichal; Fitness Business Podcast presenter Chantal Brodrick; Kristen Green, Executive Manager of the multi-award winning Aquafit Fitness and Leisure facility in Western Sydney and Sara Kooperman, Chief Executive of US-based SCW Fitness Education and WATERinMOTION®.

Palmer, who has led the Australian Government’s Sport Australia agency (formerly the Australian Sports Commission) since December 2016, is a powerful advocate for increasing levels of participation in activity, recreation and sport among populations, with a particular emphasis on women.

Her presence at FILEX, the first by a Sport Australia/Sports Commission Chief Executive, represents a significant opportunity to build links within the activity, exercise, fitness and sport sectors.

New to FILEX, the Women of Influence Forum will enable FILEX delegates to share in the wisdom, experiences, lessons and losses experienced by key women of influence in fitness and releated industries.

A statement from the FILEX organisers advises “you’ll discover what they’ve achieved, the influences that shaped them, and how and why they approach business and life in the ways that they do.

“This super session is a rare chance to gain first-hand insight into some of the industry’s most prominent and influential female leaders.”

FILEX Women of Influence Forum is one of more than 180 sessions being staged through FILEX, which is being held at ICC Sydney from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th April.

The FILEX Business Summit is being held on Thursday 11th April.
