Scenic World Blue Mountains set for 22nd October reopening

Scenic World Blue Mountains set for 22nd October reopening
October 11, 2021

The operators of Scenic World Blue Mountains have advised that the attraction will reopen on Friday 22nd October.

The announcement marks the end to a four-month site closure in response to the NSW lockdown, with Scenic World to operate four days a week (Friday to Monday) from the end of October while its Dinosaur Valley will also return from Friday 26th November, bringing the heritage rainforest to life with dozens of animatronic dinosaurs until 27th February 2022.

There will also be a number of new attractions when Dinosaur Valley returns.

Announcing that “the Skyway is squeaky clean, the Railway is ready to roll, and our world class customer service is at its best - Scenic World is preparing to welcome visitors once again.”

The leading attraction will also be offering a ‘Back to the Blueys’ special, including free child entry with every adult pass until 1st November.

Mindful of current NSW Health regulations, Scenic World advise that it’s “natural attractions and open air rides will continue to operate as usual, with a four square metre rule in place to meet physical distancing guidelines.”

In line with the latest advice from NSW Health, Scenic World will re-open to fully vaccinated guests, with visitors to provide proof of their vaccination status upon arrival.

Scenic World is also continuing to work alongside health and safety experts so you can focus on having fun, with regular rides cleaning and hand sanitising stations in place, and enhanced COVID safety measures including a fully vaccinated workforce and mandatory masks for staff and guests in some settings. In line with advice from NSW Health, entry will be limited to visitors from Greater Sydney until 25th October.

Thrilled to be able to welcome visitors back to the Blue Mountains, Scenic World Managing Director, Anthea Hammon stated “lockdown has deeply affected us all in profound ways and there is no better time to reconnect with family and loved ones in nature.

“It has been a challenging few months but we are excited to come back with renewed energy and focus to continue delivering our world class customer experience.”

Hammon also made a special mention of the resilience of Scenic World staff and acknowledged their tenacity over the past two years, adding “our staff are the lifeblood of our business and I am privileged to lead a passionate and enthusiastic team who have continued to adapt and thrive through the most challenging circumstances. I am forever grateful for their continued support.”
