Ed Sanderson has left his role as Director, Sport & Recreation at Sydney’s Botanic Gardens and Centennial Parklands to join the TSA (Total Sports Asia) team developing the Kuala Lumpur Sports City precinct.

Sanderson will take up the new position on new Vice President, Business Development based in TSA’s Kuala Lumpur office.

With a range of experience across a variety of high profile public facilities and events, Sanderson’s international experience encompasses working on the London Olympics and three years in Macau on the opening of the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel including a state of the art 15,000 seat arena.

In Australia his experience includes being the Venue Manager during the refurbishment of the Adelaide Oval and most recently leading sport and recreation activity across Australia’s premier urban park, Centennial Park servicing in excess of 400 sporting clubs and organisations across 120 different facilities.

Dubbed ‘Malaysia's new sports and entertainment capital’, the Kuala Lumpur Sports City project plans to redevelop the National Sports Complex in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, and its surrounding areas into a Sports City.

Works at the National Sports Complex include the upgrading of the Bukit Jalil National Stadium linked with residential development.
